The Republic of Equatorial Guinea is comprised of a continental region between Cameroon and Gabon and several volcanic islands including the Island of Bioko where the capital of Malabo is situated, Corisco, Elobey Chico, Elobey Grande, Annobon and MbaƱe.

A. – AMERICAN CITIZENS:

American citizens do not require a Visa to enter Equatorial Guinea; however, they are requested to fill out two visa-application forms and submit two passports photos along with them They must also submit the following:

If traveling on business, the applicant is to forward a letter from his employer, stating the nature and duration of business, as well as a financial statement from the company financing, the travel confirming a minimum amount of 2,000. 00 US$ that would cover all expenses while in the Equatorial Guinea. Applicants must sign their forms.

If traveling on tourism, the applicant must send along the forms and passport pictures a bank statement or equivalent, declaring also a minimum of 2,000.00 US$

If the applicant is to stay more than ninety (90) days, he/she must obtain a permit from the National Police Bureau in Malabo or Bata and prove sufficient funds for that term or submit an employment contract that will guarantee his expenses in Equatorial Guinea.

As American citizens enter the country, they should expect to present a valid passport and proof of smallpox, yellow fever and cholera immunization to the immigration officers.

A postage paid return envelope should be included with the application.

B.- ALL OTHERS:

To obtain an entry visa to Equatorial Guinea, all other citizens must submit to the Embassy:

An original and valid passport. Photocopies are not accepted.

Two application forms duly filled out and signed. A passport photo is to accompany each form.

If traveling on tourism, a bank statement or equivalent confirming the amount of 2,000.00 that will cover expenses while in Equatorial. Guinea.

If traveling on business, a letter issued by the applicant’s employer stating nature and duration of business. The company must also take responsibility for the app1icant’s expenses and declare so in its letter; if that is not the case) the applicant must submit any other verifiable source.

Police clearance is required for visa approval.

A check or money order for the amount of US$ 100 application fee, non refundable. Checks should be made payable to EMBASSY OF EQUATORIAL GUINEA.
