Belarus Visa Information:

Belarusian entry visas are issued by the embassies/consulates of Belarus in the following countries:

Visas, normally, shall be issued within 5 business days. Please note: business days are Monday through Friday, excluding holidays observed. Express visa can be issued within 48 hours by paying higher fee.

Regular fee for Belarusian visitor or business single visa can vary from 5 to 100 USD.

Visas for children under 16 are free of charge, but in this case the visa processing fee may be levied by the certain Belarusian embassies or consulates.

On arrival at the National Airport Minsk-2 the following fees are applied by the Consular office (contact phone + 375 17 279 20 58):
for foreign visitors from the countries where there are no Belarusian consular offices:

visitor (private visits) or business visa – 100 USD;

tourist visa – 45 USD;

transit visa – 30 USD;

for foreign visitors from the countries where Belarusian consular offices do exist:

visitor (private visits) or business visa – 140 USD;

tourist visa – 60 USD;

transit visa – 50 USD;

Belarusian entry visa cannot be issued at the border (excepting the National Airport Minsk-2).

For a Belarusian business visa, a foreign visitor has to submit an original letter of invitation from a company or organization in the Republic of Belarus, which is registered as the legal entity by the Belarusian authorities. The letter of invitation must be printed on the official letterhead signed by the company executive and sealed by the corporate seal. The letter should indicate also invitee’s name, personal and passport details as well as purpose and the expected duration of invitee’s stay in Belarus. An inviting party must provide written guarantees that an invitee will abide by the rules and regulations applied to foreign citizens in the Republic of Belarus. In some cases Belarusian embassies or consulates (excepting the Consular office at the National Airport Minsk-2) may except invitations received by fax. (вставить образец ходатайства) Multiple business visa requires confirmation from the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus.
For a multiple-entry business visa is required confirmation from the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus.
Multiple business visa is obtainable against payment of 300 USD from Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Consular department upon presentation of all required documents (contact phone + 375 17 222 26 61).

For a visitor (private visits) visa, a foreign visitor has to submit an original letter of invitation obtained by the invitee’s relatives or friends residing in Belarus at the local Citizenship & Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus (Passport & Visa Office). The original letter of invitation should be handed over to the Belarusian embassy/consulate or Consular office at the National Airport Minsk-2, in the latter case any fax or photocopy of invitation is excluded. Multiple-entry visitor (private visits) visa is issued to foreign visitors visiting their close relatives residing in Belarus upon presentation of an original letter of invitation.

Belarusian tourist visa is issued upon presentation of an original tourist voucher from a Belarusian travel agency or tour operator. Hosting organization should be registered as a tourist company by the Belarusian authorities. Please, note that a hotel voucher does not substitute a tourist voucher.

Visa conditions change regularly. Contact the nearest Embassy or Consulate of Belarus for the most up to date information.

Additional information:
Visas can be for single, double, triple, or multiple entry. Visas are valid within the period indicated therein.
When you enter Belarus or Russia, any foreign visitor should fill out and submit to the immigration officer a migration card. A single Migration Card will now cover both Belarus and Russia.
Belarus requires all foreign visitors to have medical insurance upon entry.
Within 3 business days after arriving in Belarus a foreign visitor must register at the local Citizenship & Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus (Passport & Visa Office) to report the information about the address and duration of his/her stay, in order to have the registration stamp placed in his/her passport. Foreign visitors staying in a hotel are registered as part of the check-in procedure.
In case of need, the term of visitor or business visa can be extended up to 90 days when a foreign visitor is staying in Belarus. It will be done by the Minsk City or Regional Citizenship & Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus (contact phone + 375 17 231 38 09) upon presentation of all required documents. Tourist visa cannot be extended.
Exit permits are required for all foreign visitors intending to leave the territory of Belarus with an expired visa. Exit permits are issued by the Minsk City or Regional Citizenship & Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus (Passport & Visa Office).

Obtaining Visas at the National Airport “Minsk”
There is a Consular Office at the National Airport Minsk-2. Normally, the Office issues visas to foreign visitors from the countries where there are no Belarusian consular offices. However, it may also issue visas to visitors from the countries where the Belarusian consular offices do exist.
To obtain a visa, a foreign visitor has to submit an original letter of invitation from the Belarusian inviting party. The inviting party can be:

a Belarusian company;
a resident of Belarus (in this case the letter of invitation must be registered at the Citizenship & Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus);
or a licensed tourist company.
In the first case (company) a business visa is issued, in the second case (individual) – a visitor visa is issued, and in the third case (tourist company) – a tourist visa.
For a transit visa, a foreign visitor has to submit a valid visa of the country the foreign visitor is traveling from/to via Belarus. If such visa is not required, other proofs (a copy of the ticket, itinerary from a travel agency or any other documents) are accepted to confirm the necessity of transit through the territory of Belarus.
